California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Disclosure
At Ombrage Collection, we are committed to ethical and responsible business practices. We recognize the importance of protecting human rights and are dedicated to ensuring that slavery, human trafficking, and forced labor have no place in our supply chain. In compliance with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657), we are pleased to disclose our efforts in the following five key areas:
Verification of Supply Chains
Ombrage Collection engages in efforts to evaluate and address risks of human trafficking and slavery in our supply chain. This includes internal risk assessments of suppliers and, where appropriate, third-party audits. While we do not currently use third-party verification services, we are actively exploring ways to enhance this process.
Audits of Suppliers
At present, Ombrage Collection conducts periodic internal reviews and assessments of our suppliers to monitor compliance with our ethical standards. These reviews are not always independent or unannounced; however, we are working to strengthen this process with more robust and independent audit protocols.
Certification of Suppliers
We require our direct suppliers to certify that materials incorporated into our products comply with the laws regarding slavery, human trafficking, and labor practices of the countries in which they operate. This certification is included in our vendor onboarding and contract documentation.
Internal Accountability
Ombrage Collection maintains internal accountability standards and procedures for employees and contractors who fail to meet our company standards regarding human trafficking and slavery. Violations of our policies may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contracts.
Training
We provide training to key company employees and management who have direct responsibility for supply chain management. This training covers topics such as identifying and mitigating risks of human trafficking and slavery within the supply chain and aligns with best practices in corporate social responsibility.
